You can change your File Express subscription in your account settings to upgrade or downgrade.
Upgrade
- Log in to File Express using your e-mail address and password.
- Click your e-mail address at the top right and then “My account”.
- Click “My subscription”.
→ Here you can see the details of your current subscription and the available upgrade options. - Select the new subscription under “Available options”.
- Enter or check your billing address and payment information.
- Enable annual billing, if you wish. Otherwise, the amount due will be charged monthly.
- Check your details and click “Order now”.
The upgrade is completed. You can now access the features of the new subscription.
Upgrades are always carried out immediately. The amount to be paid is automatically charged to the stored credit card. Amounts already paid are credited to you.
Downgrade
- Log in to File Express using your e-mail address and password.
- Click your e-mail address at the top right and then “My account”.
- Click “My subscription”.
→ Here you can see the details of your current subscription and the available upgrade options. - Click “Show more options” to also see the downgrade options.
- Select the new subscription.
- Confirm the change.
The downgrade is completed. You will immediately lose access to the features of your previous subscription.
Downgrades can only be carried out if all limits of the new subscription are met. Please note the information below in relation to this. The difference for the remainder of the contract term is not refunded.
Requirements for downgrades
You can only downgrade to a lower subscription if the limits of the new subscription are met. The following prerequisites are checked:

If at least one of these conditions is not met, you cannot downgrade.
